A Sad Goodbye.
It came as a major shock to the Beaconhurst learners on the first day of the new school year to realise that Mrs Hannelie Jordaan had left Beaconhurst High School to pursue a new venture at the Department of Education as the subject advisor for CAT and IT. She is excited for this opportunity, because she hopes to have a chance to have an impact on many learners’ lives. Mrs Jordaan taught for a total of 29 years, starting on 1 January 1990. She has taught numerous subjects from grade 3-12 over the years. Before leaving Beaconhurst, Mrs Jordaan was a Computer and CAT teacher. She always had a big smile on her face, ready to take on the load of work for the day. Her passion for children and teaching managed to make CAT a fun and interesting subject. It has only been a few weeks, and everyone is missing her, and wanting her to come back. Mrs Jordaan, your expertise and helpful advice will be greatly missed by all those who you have taught. May this new adventure in your life be exciting, and bring you the job satisfaction that you deserve, but know that you will always be a major member of the Beaconhurst family!
